Can ghosts exist according to science?

Could there be scientific explanations for some of our paranormal experiences?

By ghosts, I’m referring to the things that float through walls.

Let me first clarify as people use the word ghost and spirit interchangeably but there really is a strong difference between them.

Spirits are what we understand to be the souls of the deceased, with a conscience & personality, that Mediums can interact with. They are free to move from one dimension to another and can return to us at free will. They are not tied to any one place & can pass between dimensions as they please.

Ghosts are the non-interactive things that people see “haunting” buildings & places. They are theoretically Residual energy which is an event, replayed over and over again, at the same spot, and at the same time. They are therefore tied to one place, which is often where they lived or died.

So, is it possible ghosts can exist?

It’s a topic that people have debated over for years. Some people are adamant they have seen them. Some people think they might have but don’t want to come public in case their mental state is questioned. Some people simply do not believe & some people sit firmly on the fence.

45% of Americans believe they have seen a ghost. Some people report feeling uneasy when their dog or cat appears fixated on an empty corner of the room.

Since I personally know a few people who are quite sane & rational, who have all seen something they believe to be a ghost, can there actually be a logical, scientific explanation for what they saw?

I have done some research into quantum mechanics (not to any degree level) to understand more about the hidden world around us.

According to the experts who do have PHDs on this subject, such as Einstein, there are several things they all agree on. One of those things is that everything consists of energy.
