How Therapy Shifted from a Burden to a Lifeline

I used to loathe the idea of going to therapy. The thought of sharing your life with someone else as they sit in front of you and jot down notes seemed daunting. For years, I acted tough by putting…

A list of truths by Thucents

This is a living list of truths according to my own experience, in no particular order. There is no specific purpose. However, if there must be one, because as a reader, you would feel cheated without one, then let this be a list for beautiful conversations to begin.

#1. There is nothing in this world that is not part of everything. I figured we should start out with a common ground. =)

#2. Some of us have slapped ourselves in the face at some point in our lives. I have done it plenty of times, literally and figuratively. It was fun!

#3. Food, love, and progress is my current order of preference. Now, pick your three and put those in your order of preference. Life is rather simple, isn’t it?

#4. The media is generally corrupted. I don’t think there’s any good in trying to figure out who’s to blame but we all know it needs to be fixed.

#5. A self-made man doesn’t exist — his mom gave him quite a head-start.

#6. LSD is not addictive. It may even be anti-addictive and a whole lot more.

#7. Love solves everything…eventually. At least that’s my bet.

#8. Nothing ever happened exactly as you imagined, and that’s what’s beautiful about life.

#9. Taking care of plants makes me happy. Have you ever tried?

#10. Ho Chi Minh fought for Vietnamese independence. Love him or hate him, this man believed in freedom, not just for himself, but for others as well.

#11. The ego is powerful, creative, destructive, and just about everything under the sun. Tread with kindness.

#12. Andrew Yang is a good fucking dude. I said it in Iowa and I still feel that it’s true today.

#13. I don’t eat meat, I don’t smoke, and I don’t think I will date someone who does. But if I do, then I must be a really lucky guy.

#14. I was young and stupid, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

#15. Some people meditate to get things right, some people repeat their mistakes until they got sick and tired of them. Either one is fine.

…#1,001

NOTE: I will try to add to this list every now and then. Please inspire me…and have some beautiful conversations together.

And these are my Thucents…for now.
