Gabby Plata

Gabby has one younger sister and a dog named Granola who kind of looks like a cow. She has a very big interest in STEM and even attended the Academy for Science and the Arts in Des Plaines for some of her middle school years. She also lived in Ohio while she was in kindergarten and a little of first grade. Since her love of STEM has followed her into high school, she is taking a heavy course load of four AP classes and starts her day at Buffalo Grove for Calculus 3. “The other day I was going to BG for my calc class, and I kept getting stuck by all these red lights, and I was running really late. Then I thought, ‘This is what is must be like to be an adult,’”, Plata said.
