I want my writing to be in quotations

Those are my own words, but for some reason, typing them in quotes felt much better than writing them without. And when I think about it, it’s because having quotes on something implies that it was worth capturing in its original state—that someone important said it.

One of the insecurities that I have about my writing is that no one will think it’s important. That people will only look at the letters and phrases and see it without quotations—see it as unimportant or insignificant.

Every writer’s first step is self acknowledging that they have something worth saying. That their stories are worth listening to, and realizing that their unique experiences combined together makes for a really interesting perspective. Writing that’s worth the quotations.
