Unreal pleasure

I can still remember
It was last December
I was searching for happiness
In this world full of brokenness

I'm in the verge of breaking down
Looking for satisfaction in this town
My soul was longing for something
Just like any human being

I found you after a long search
And all those prayers in the church
You finally said you love me
My heart back then was full of glee

Everyday I was reminded
That I was loved and not dead
By your words you always say
Which made me feel so okay

Days had passed by
The question now is "why?"
Seems like everything is changing
I thought we are just in the beginning

Thinking about all that we've been through
Hoping that all of those are true
You said we'll face everything hand-in-hand
But why are we in the end?

Yes, you said you love me
But that's not what I see
You just love the idea that I'm here for you
I need actions that prove you love me too

Seems like the love is unreciprocated
Questions are now running in my head
All those lies that you've said
Makes me feel that I'm better off dead

It hurts because I believed you're a happy pill
But the truth is, you only brought an ill
Meeting you gave me a reason to live
Having you made me inoperative

There’s no sense in continuing this
Now, I will choose peace
You will be remembered
But your lies will now be unheard
